A Filipino Wedding in the Pueblo Magico, Valladolid

The couple, Paulina and Clark, envisioned a wedding that honored their Filipino heritage while embracing the local Mexican ambiance. Their ceremony took place at Coqui Coqui's La Perfumería in Valladolid, Yucatan, Mexico, marking the venue's first-ever wedding ceremony. The reception was held at Mesón de Malleville, where guests were treated to a vibrant fusion of cultures.

To infuse Filipino elements, the couple incorporated handwoven fans and table runners from the Philippines, adding a personal touch to the decor. The floral arrangements, curated by María Limón, featured a palette inspired by colonial Valladolid—rich yellows, lilacs, and marsala tones—creating a visual feast that resonated with both cultures.

Guests were invited to dress in "fiesta formal" attire, embracing the festive spirit with colors reflecting the vibrant surroundings. The celebration was not just a union of two individuals but a harmonious blend of traditions, cultures, and families.

Mario Olverac's meticulous planning and deep understanding of cultural nuances ensured that every detail resonated with authenticity and elegance. This wedding stands as a testament to the beauty of cross-cultural celebrations and the magic that unfolds when traditions intertwine.
